Staff (also Employees) are an integral part of your airport, required to progress through the game and host passengers. Most employee management happens inside the staff tab of the management panel, as it can be used to hire, fire, locate, train, and otherwise manage your airport's employees.

Hiring and Management

All hiring and management of staff uses the staff panel, which can be accessed through the management panel. You can directly open the staff menu by using its icon on the left sidebar, or can be accessed via the UI after opening the management panel using the TAB key.

Hiring

Staff can be hired from the applicants section in the staff tab, and can be filtered by type. From there you can see who is applying for work at your airport, Each applicant is unique, possessing a unique name, appearance, desired salary, and skill level. Skill will affect the happiness of Passengers who interact with the employees, and their rate of completing tasks. Staff will arrive at the airport using transport infrastructure. You can filter skill levels by using the sliders at the top of the panel. It's generally good practice to only have green skill level staff working at your airport. Hiring is done either by pressing the green hire button, or by manually reviewing the staff member's application and then hiring them via the application UI (This is not required and does not benefit you in any way).

Management

Staff can be managed from the staff section of the staff tab, there, hired employees (excluding contractors, and shopkeepers), can be fired, trained, and located.

Training

Staff can be trained by clicking the blue train button, this increases their skill level at the literal price of a higher salary and a small direct training cost.
